Week 14 April- 18 April

Starting from this week, we have embarked on a new four-week small project. In this project, we aim to be as realistic as possible and blow up the streets of London. This week we reviewed the previous nuke nodes and operation methods to prepare for this project.

Week 28April – 2 May

This week’s course mainly covered the synthesis methods of smoke. Among them, unpremultiplication and forging normals, as well as copying nodes in nuke to txt format text, were the three key steps I focused on learning and understanding. Through today’s class, I have learned the more fundamental logic of nuke, which is helpful for me to better create the effect I want and help me better realize my ideas.

Week 5 May – 09 May

This Thursday we learned about the synthesis of flames. In fact, it is very similar to the synthesis of smoke. The key point is to add a bit of the distortion of the flames to the air and the illumination of the flames to the surrounding environment. Other steps are very similar to synthetic smoke.

Week 12 May – 16 May

This week in our Nuke class, we focused on learning how to use Nuke to design and produce 2D visual effects specifically for news broadcasts or TV program packaging. The course emphasized practical techniques for enhancing visual impact, improving production quality, and creating professional-looking media presentations.
